DiscoverCars Coupon: Filters, Pick-Up Types, Licence Rules and Age Fees Bahrain For All Users

Picking a rental car gets easier once you know how DiscoverCars sorts offers and which rules suppliers check at the desk in each country.

This page covers the search filters and the Excellent label, the pick-up types at airports and in town, licence rules in Oman and Egypt and the age bands that change a total.

We took every detail from DiscoverCars.com, its country pages for the Gulf and Egypt and its help centre on 19 October 2026, and we update this page whenever DiscoverCars changes its rules, coverage or policies.

The DiscoverCars Coupon deal for the Gulf and Egypt is easier to use once you know the rules, so this page explains how the filters sort offers, how each pick-up type works, which licence Oman and Egypt accept and how a driver's age changes the total.

How Does the DiscoverCars Coupon Search Compare Cars?

Once you search a city or airport, DiscoverCars lists every available offer with its total price, supplier score and key rental terms, so comparing takes a single screen.

Which filters matter most?

Filters cover car type, supplier rating, deposit amount, fuel policy and pick-up type, and in some places extra filters show offers with a waived deposit or delivery only.

What does the Excellent label show?

It marks the three best-rated suppliers at each location whose average customer rating is 8 or higher, a quick shortcut when several offers cost roughly the same.

What is DiscoverCars' Choice?

DiscoverCars' Choice is a set of handpicked exclusive deals where the supplier name is revealed after booking, which can unlock a lower total for renters who are flexible.

1. Set the car type first.
2. Add a rating filter.
3. Compare the totals that remain.

Which Pick-Up Options Come With the DiscoverCars Coupon Offer?

Every offer states how you collect the car, and the pick-up type can save or cost real time after a long flight, especially with children or heavy luggage in tow.

What are the main types?

In Terminal desks sit inside the arrivals hall, Shuttle offers use a usually free bus ride of 5 to 15 minutes, and Meet and Greet means a supplier agent waits at an agreed point.

What about collection in town?

Car Rental Center and Rental Office pick-ups sit in the city, and some city suppliers bring the car to an address for a fee, which the Delivery only filter helps you find.

How do you find the exact desk?

The voucher and the pick-up instructions in My Booking describe where to go, and the supplier's phone number is listed there in case your flight lands later than planned.

1. Read the pick-up type on the offer.
2. Save the instructions offline.
3. Call the supplier if plans shift.

What Licence Rules Apply in the Region?

Licence rules are set by each country and checked by the supplier at the desk, so reading them before you book avoids a refused rental on arrival day.

What does Oman accept?

Visitors may use a home licence written in Arabic or Latin letters for stays of up to three months, while residents need an Omani licence and other scripts need an International Driving Permit.

What does Egypt accept?

Most foreign drivers in Egypt need an International Driving Permit, with an exception for tourists whose licence is in English, and residents need a local licence or an IDP.

How long must you have held it?

Suppliers usually ask for a licence held for at least one year, some ask for two, and the exact rule for each offer sits in its Rental Conditions.

1. Check the licence script.
2. Get an IDP if needed.
3. Bring the physical original.

How Do DiscoverCars Age Fees Work?

Entering the driver's real age in the search makes DiscoverCars include any young or senior driver fee in the total, so the price you compare is the price you pay.

When does a young driver fee apply?

Many suppliers charge drivers under 25, the Egypt page mentions fees between 22 and 25, and the Oman page notes that some suppliers apply them up to the age of 30.

When does a senior fee apply?

The country pages for the region mention senior fees from 65, while the help centre notes that many suppliers start them at 70, so each offer's terms decide.

Can a younger driver avoid the fee?

Comparing suppliers helps, because the fee and the minimum age differ by company, and the total for your age already shows which offer costs least overall.

• Enter the real age.
• Compare totals, not daily rates.
• Read the age line in the terms.

Why Might a DiscoverCars Total Change?

A total that rises between the results page and the payment screen usually has a simple cause, and the DiscoverCars help pages list the most common ones for renters in every market.

Did you enter the right age?

Young driver and senior driver fees only appear once the age field matches the main driver, so a default age can show a lower first figure than the final booking total.

Did the car or the dates change?

Prices move with live availability, and switching car class, pick-up time or rental length recalculates the total, sometimes upward when a cheaper car has just been taken by someone else.

Why is the currency different at payment?

Online charges are taken in one of several currencies such as US dollars or euros, while anything paid at the rental desk is settled in the local currency of the country you drive in.

1. Check the age field.
2. Compare the breakdown line by line.
3. Confirm the currency before paying.
